9 Tips to Get Ready for Your Beach Honeymoon
If you’re traveling to Maldives, you should know that Maldives is all pristine sand and turquoise lagoons and beautiful house reefs. So since it’s a tropical country, you’ll need to get comfortable casual clothes for your honeymoon. Below our romantic consultants have highlighted tips on how to prepare for your perfect beach honeymoon.
1 – Whittle down your packing list
To wear on day time, you’ll need a couple of cute bikinis, shorts and comfortable T-shirts. Also bring your flip flops since it’s an all beach destination. For evening be sure to wear something to keep you warm since it’s gonna be a bit cold. And seriously – that’s it. Don’t be afraid to repeat your outfits, beach vacations are generally low-key.
The resort and guest houses normally offers you complimentary toiletries and some even gives you kimono bathrobes. Even though, be sure to pack away your sweet smelling shampoos and soaps and other toiletries just in case. Avoid the temptation of over-packing and you’ll save money and time since all of these bags.
2 – Make sure your passports are up to date and get your flights and reservations done beforehand
Make sure your reservations and bookings are done before hand to avoid any dispute and complications. Also always always remember to renew your passport just in case. I’ve heard really bad stories of couples getting to the airport only to discover that one spouse’s passport was set to expire within three-six months of date of departure. You need to have at least 6 months prior to your expiration date before traveling.
3 – Get a bikini wax
Because really nothing is more annoying than a razor burn
4 – Get a manicure/pedicure
Your feet and hands are gonna at the front and center of the beach. So you must make sure that they’re gorgeous.
Recommendation: Go for a peachy, neutral shade color
5 – De-flake!
Both your face and your body and I mean it! De-flaking your skin means your tan goes on more evenly also you can show it off.
6 – Leave a copy of your itinerary with a friend of family member
Prepare a itinerary and leave a copy of your address of your resort, flight schedules and hotel dates and hotel phone numbers in the hands of one of your friends or your family member. If any emergency arises, they’ll know where to reach you.
