Our Amazing Honeymoon in Anantara Dhigu
I went to Anantara Dhigu for my honeymoon with my husband after reading its reviews on trip advisor. We went for a 4 day stay and I must say it’s the best stay we had in our life.
Anantara Dhigu is an amazing resort. First we’re taken to the resort by a 35-minute speed boat ride from the airport. And Deva and Arjun meets us at the jetty to welcome us with coconut “Kurumba” drinks. Probably we loved it because we have never seen such hospitality from other destinations we have travelled. But I remember the look on my husband’s face and I knew I had chosen the right place for our honeymoon adventure.
After this we were guided towards our villa which was even better! We chose an over-water suite which had its own private pool. The villa was very spacious and we loved every bit of it. We saw sunbeds where we could lie down and spend the afternoon and also we saw amazing colorful reefs and marine lives swimming in the turquoise lagoon. We even had direct access to it. It was a magical place.
We went to have dinner since we arrived in the evening. The staff serving us was very helpful. They smiled at us as we entered. When we told our room numbers, they knew we were honeymooners. The staffs offered us complimentary champagne which was awesome. The staff serving us even offered us discounts in a private exclusive dinner if we choose to have so. It was really hard to pick a favorite really. All of these destinations were really amazing.
Our visit to the spa was incredible. We were greeted with a cold lime drink and then asked what kind of treatment we would like and asked us to fill a form to note down the necessities like areas to avoid, allergies, etc.. Judith our spa therapist was amazing. I got to enjoy the pristine views of the ocean while relaxing. It was incredible!
I must say I loved everything about this hotel and would definitely take a chance to return again. This has been the most amazing experience I ever had in my life. It was really sad to end our honeymoon in Anantara Dhigu Maldives.
