Paradise Defined – Honeymoon at Anantara Dhigu

Aerial view of Anantara Dhigu Malidves

My honeymoon trip at Anantara Dhigu was amazing. After staying at Anantara Veli for 2 nights, we moved to Anantara Dhigu Maldives which I must say is amazing. Here there were more activities. They had bike stations where you can pick up a bike and ride around the island-awesome! Even giant chess board game. One thing that caught our attention was the roof of the over water Villas here had boat shaped roofs which was quite awesome! Here we saw a lot of kids but it was okay because we got to meet a lot of cute babies. We even saw a lot of staff babysitting these babies and this is an added advantage for those with kids.

We stayed at an over water villa which had spectacular views of the ocean and the sunset. We got to see amazing marine lives near our villa every morning and it was so beautiful. Anantara Dhigu is the places where I would call – Paradise Defined. We got to enjoy the cool breeze from the ocean and oh god. The scenery was juts uh-mazing!

We went on this trip to a nearby island named Gulhifushi. Some calls it as picnic Island but we realized it’s actually a burger Island. From the moment we arrived at the island, we were greeted with great drinks. The whole Island is pretty exclusive.  The bartender was very charming and we enjoyed our lunch very much. After lunch we lounged at one of the spots around the island. Soon we spotted a swing about 50m away from the shore and we walked towards it. Water was knee high and we managed to hop on the swing. I have to tell you the view and feeling is unbelievable. It’s a must try and it’s very safe.

All in all Dhigu is a beautiful island to be with friends and families. The staff is ever so friendly from gardeners to service staff to Chefs. It made us felt like home and truly felt a very personal touch. A very friendly vibe all around. The problem we will have next time is choosing between Veli or Dhigu.
