Sophisticated Simplicity in Mirihi Maldives

When my husband and I settled Maldives as our honeymoon destination, we embarked on the huge task of narrowing down the islands that suited us. With the help of the Trip advisor friends, we finally settled on Mirihi.

Everything including the size of the island, snorkeling, food, accommodations was everything we wanted. Everything was just perfect.  Here are some of the main highlights of our stay on the island:

Staff: All of the staffs we met in the Island were purely incredible. They were professional and friendly and I must say the management tries really hard to maintain a good team. They always stop by to have a conversation with us which was great. Nothing was ever too much to ask and we felt really really comfortable. Raoof showed us around the island and also guided us towards our over-water villa

Food

The food served at the restaurants were pretty amazing. The chefs Felix and Fernando (and their great culinary team) always creates something extraordinary and I loved every bit of what they prepared. During each and every visit, they always gave us their recommendations and we always ended up eating too much. This is how much we loved their food.

House reef

Mirihi Maldives have a wonderful house reef with a wide variety of fish, small sharks, rays, turtles and etc… We were out snorkeling every day and we encountered pretty amazing sea creatures and vibrant house reefs and always saw something new. As we have our PADI open water qualification, I also went on a couple of dive spots. The dive center is run by some great diving instructors and they have access to a range of fantastic sites in proximately to the island.

Resort/rooms

As we have hoped, the resort was small, relaxed and never felt crowded. The whole island was kept clean. Even after a storm, the staffs were removing the leaves and twigs. Pest control is conducted on a weekly basis.

The rooms are simple and spacious again immaculately kept. Plenty of free amenities were provided such as water, coffee, etc…

Overall we have got really positive things to say about Mirihi Island and I would recommend the resort to anyone especially for couples and honeymooners looking for a getaway, No doubt we will be back to visit the Mirihi family in the future!
